ZIP File Limits

ZIP archives have a maximum total size of 2 GB. However, each individual file inside the ZIP must be no larger than 200 MB. Files within the ZIP that exceed this limit will be skipped during extraction.

For more details on how ZIP files are handled, see the Uploading ZIP Files article.

What Happens If My File Is Too Large?

If you try to upload a file that exceeds the size limit for its type, you will see an error message indicating that the file size exceeds the maximum allowed size. To resolve this:

  • Reduce the file size by compressing images, removing unnecessary pages, or splitting the document into smaller parts.

  • For spreadsheets, consider removing unused sheets or reducing the number of rows.

  • For ZIP files, ensure that neither the archive itself nor any individual file inside it exceeds the respective limit.
